Manic Botanic’s chuppah design with lush greenery and roses, and a floor to ceiling view of the Atlantic Ocean – the perfect place to say “I Do.” Also a close second, having Atlantic City, the sunset and the beach as a backdrop – not a bad view overall.Today I get to share one of those features that I wait for like it’s Christmas morning! Even better – this gorgeous retro wedding shoot comes in two parts – the engagement party will be up on Wednesday! There is just so much to love in this fantastic shoot from Carla Ten Eyck, I hardly know where to start! There’s the perfectly period fashions styled by The White Dress by the Shore, the most darling beehive ‘do’s by Catie Bane, and that airstream trailer from Hive Events – wow! Not to mention, I simply could not resist a shoot featuring a drink called the Boozy Elvis, that’s just a match made in heaven right there.ĭon’t miss Part II of this stunning shoot on Wednesday! They shared their first dance as newlyweds to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur as friends and family surrounded them on the dance floor.Īnd after dancing for hours on end to show tunes and celebrating the couple’s love for Abba, the guests grabbed a much-needed late-night snack highlighting the couple’s favorite of Wawa soft pretzels and iced tea. Carla and Jeremy selected nontraditional acoustic versions of songs from “The Greatest Showman” for the larger ceremony. Personal touches were added to their day, including a smaller ceremony for close family and a few witnesses where their rabbi and parents both spoke and the ketubah was signed. The most eye-catching display of all was the large floral chuppah, complete with all white flowers. ![]() Incorporating the color scheme of lilac, lavender, dusty rose and mauve, the florist created bouquets and centerpieces that were loose and whimsical. Carla enlisted the help of The Manic Botanic florist to create big, dramatic, romantic displays. One aspect of the day that was especially important to the bride was the flowers. The couple wanted their big day to be an expression of themselves and all the things they loved, and they accomplished this by eschewing tradition. When it came to personal touches and décor, Carla and Jeremy covered all the bases. The venue was able to accommodate the ceremony and reception, so everything was convenient for their guests. When the couple saw the venue, Carla’s modern, unique and timeless vision came to life. One Atlantic provided the indoor setting with its space overlooking the beach that makes people feel like they are outside. Carla always loved the idea of an outdoor summer wedding, but with the concern of inclement weather, she decided it was best to select an indoor venue. ![]() While planning their shore wedding, Carla and Jeremy decided to give guests a taste of Labor Day weekend at the shore and selected One Atlantic Events as the location for their big day. Jeremy proposed over tea at the Plaza Hotel and the couple began making wedding plans.įor Carla’s family, spending summers down the shore was a tradition Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends were always spent at their house in Ventnor. When camp was over, Carla and Jeremy returned to their respective colleges in New York and Florida and kept their romance alive. After attending the same camp for nearly 10 years, Carla and Jeremy returned as counselors in 2011 and realized their camp friendship had become something more. ![]() Summer camp is often the foundation for friendships and shared experiences. ![]()
